Week 8 Gracie Barra, foot throws and side control

Published on

4 min read

We are on Week 8 of the Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Curriculum. In our Fundamentals Jiu-Jitsu classes this week you will learn to defend punches, use a headlock takedown straight to an armbar. You’ll also learn a rear body lock takedown. Once on the ground we are working from side control. In class A, you will learn transitions to the papercut choke. In B, you will learn to mount and go to a spinning armbar. Definitely classes you do not want to miss.

In our All Level and advanced classes, we are working on foot throws and more advanced moves from side control. Check out the inside hook takedown and the foot sweep from a collar drag. On the ground game we are working variations of the papercut choke and armbars from mount.

In our Gracie Barra Kids program we are training choke escapes and the double leg takedown. On the ground we are working from side control to the paper cut choke.

We hope you can make it in this week and continue your jiu-jitsu journey.
