For GBK Classes (LC I & II / Juniors):
Week 7 kicks off with a focus on wrist grab escapes and guard passes, emphasizing essential self-defense skills. Delve into the nuances of guard retention and breaking the guard from both the top and bottom positions. These skills contribute to a well-rounded and effective Jiu-Jitsu arsenal.
GB All-Levels Program:
Experience the double leg turning the corner technique as we transition to sport Jiu-Jitsu. Learn the art of breaking the guard with an over-the-leg pass and explore detailed exercises for improving guard passing skills. Our instructors will showcase effective submissions from the top mount, adding depth to your repertoire.
Week 7 spotlights distance management – a critical aspect of Jiu-Jitsu. Master the body lock takedown for securing side control. Explore opening the guard and mastering passes to side control in sport Jiu-Jitsu. Transition seamlessly from guard position to side control and then to mount with the GB1 drill. Test your skills in specific training sessions and live rolls.
GB2 Advanced Classes:
For advanced practitioners, Week 7 offers a deep dive into advanced techniques. Explore the art of leg grabs at an advanced level and master the double leg takedown with an inside hook trip. Tackle the intricacies of the spider guard pass, a high-level skill requiring finesse.
