Week 4

confidence

At Gracie Barra Centennial, we believe that confidence is a skill—one you can train, sharpen, and strengthen just like any technique. In Week 4 of the GB Curriculum, we focus on Mount or Knee on Belly transitions, foot throws, and real-life self-defense applications that help you feel more secure and assertive on and off the mats.

🗣 Word of the Week: CONFIDENCE

Confidence in Jiu-Jitsu doesn’t come from winning—it comes from showing up, trying again, and realizing you’re capable of more than you imagined.
From committing to a foot throw to escaping a bad position under pressure, each rep gives you a reason to believe in yourself.

Confidence looks like:
✅ Getting back up after a takedown
✅ Trusting your training
✅ Committing to movement with intention
✅ Knowing you can protect yourself if needed

30-Minute BJJ Focus Sessions

Join our short, high-intensity Focus Sessions to refine essential skills:
✔️ Foot Throws
✔️ Submissions from Mount and Knee on Belly

Perfect for students looking to add clean transitions and powerful pressure to their game.
