Week 16! Clinch&holds, foot throws and mount/knee on belly!

Get ready to dive into a week of dynamic Jiu-Jitsu. This week is jam-packed with techniques designed to enhance your skills and take your martial arts journey to new heights. From fundamental foundations to advanced strategies, we’ve curated an exciting lineup that promises growth, camaraderie, and a whole lot of fun. Let’s delve into the details of what’s in store for each class this week!

We’re thrilled to unveil the dynamic lineup for this week’s GBK Program. In Class A, brace yourself for an action-packed session as we delve into the core of Jiu-Jitsu with three fundamental techniques: front break falls, escape from the mount, and knee on belly. These foundational skills are pivotal on your Jiu-Jitsu journey, and to ensure your mastery, we’ve dedicated a significant portion of the class to specific training. This hands-on approach allows you to practice and refine your newly acquired techniques.

Later in the week, Class B promises an exciting exploration of double leg takedowns with grips. Ground techniques will include escapes from the Mount and Knee on Belly positions. Our experienced instructor will guide you step-by-step, offering insights and tips to elevate your grappling proficiency.

For our GB1 Fundamentals classes, we’ve crafted a comprehensive curriculum focusing on essential self-defense techniques. In Class A, learn to escape a bear hug from under the arm, counter opponent grips effectively, and execute the outside hook takedown. Gain invaluable skills applicable in real-world scenarios.

But that’s not all! Class A will also introduce escape strategies from the Mount using the bridge technique, along with another escape and how to recover your guard position. Early in the week, our drill will center around the open guard position, a versatile aspect every practitioner should master.

In Class B of the GB1 Fundamentals program, dive into another bear hug escape technique and efficiently escape from the Mount position. These classes conclude with focused specific training, allowing you to fine-tune your skills through practical application and partner drills.

Our GB All-Levels class caters to practitioners of all levels, offering a diverse range of techniques. Focus on the O Soto Gari, a powerful throw transitioning into a dominant mount position. Learn a Mount escape using the knee to elbow technique, smoothly transitioning to the Half Guard. Introduce yourself to a Technical Mount escape variation to Half Guard, enhancing your grappling capabilities.

For GB2 Advanced classes, elevate your skills with a foot sweep from the back while controlling your opponent’s arm. Explore armbars and triangles from the mount position, taking your ground game to an elite level. Our experienced instructor will guide you through these advanced techniques with finesse and precision.
