Week 1 at Gracie Barra Centennial – Respect
Word of the Week: Respect
We’re excited to welcome everyone back to Week 1 at Gracie Barra Centennial! This week we’re focusing on Respect, the foundation of our school culture and a key value on and off the mats. Respect at GBC means treating teammates, professors, and training partners with kindness, listening attentively, following the school rules, and giving your best effort in every class. When we show respect, we build trust, unity, and a positive environment that makes our team stronger together.

Why Respect Matters
Respect isn’t just about words—it’s how we act on the mats. By respecting ourselves, our teammates, and our professors, we create a safe space for learning and growth. Respect also means showing up on time, wearing a clean uniform, and pushing each other to be our best.
Let’s start this new training cycle strong by putting Respect into action every day. Together, we’ll sharpen our techniques, build confidence, and strengthen the community that makes Gracie Barra Centennial so special.
