Test Your Skills at the Gracie Barra Centennial In-House Tournament!

4 min read

Competing in Jiu-Jitsu is one of the best ways to challenge yourself, grow as a martial artist, and gain valuable experience on the mats. That’s why we’re excited to announce our upcoming Gracie Barra Centennial In-House Tournament—an event designed to help students of all levels step into competition in a fun, friendly, and supportive environment!

📅 Event Details:

📍 Location: Gracie Barra Centennial
📅 Date: March 29th
⏰ Time: 9 AM

This tournament is open to all students, from kids to adults, white belts to advanced practitioners. Whether you’re competing for the first time or looking to sharpen your skills, this is the perfect opportunity to gain competition experience without the stress of a big tournament setting.

Why Should You Compete?

1️⃣ Gain Real Experience

Training in class is great, but stepping onto the mat in a competition setting brings a whole new level of challenge. You’ll get to test your techniques under pressure, sharpen your reflexes, and develop your mental toughness.

2️⃣ Improve Faster

Competition accelerates growth! Whether you win or lose, you’ll gain insights into your strengths and areas for improvement. Every match is a learning experience that helps you improve faster than regular training alone.

3️⃣ Build Confidence & Resilience

There’s nothing like the adrenaline rush of a match—learning to stay calm under pressure and pushing past your limits helps build confidence both on and off the mats.

4️⃣ Prepare for Bigger Tournaments

If you’re thinking about competing in larger tournaments like CompNet or IBJJF events, our in-house tournament is the perfect place to start. It allows you to gain experience in a low-pressure, supportive environment while still feeling the thrill of competition.

5️⃣ It’s FUN!

Beyond the competition itself, in-house tournaments are an amazing way to bond with teammates, support each other, and celebrate progress. Win or lose, you’ll walk away with valuable lessons and great memories!

How to Sign Up

Signing up is easy! Click HERE or visit smoothcomp.com to register for the tournament. Don’t wait too long— early bird registration closes on February 14th!

If you have any questions, talk to your coach or stop by the front desk. We can’t wait to see you step up and put your training to the test!

Are you ready to challenge yourself? See you on the mats! 👊
