March is Women’s Appreciation Month, and Gracie Barra Centennial is celebrating by launching our new GBF Women’s Program—completely FREE for all women throughout March!
This special program is designed to help women of all backgrounds and fitness levels learn life-saving self-defense skills in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment. Whether you’re new to martial arts or looking to expand your knowledge, this is a unique opportunity to train for free, build confidence, and take control of your personal safety.

💥 What is the GBF Women’s Program?
The Gracie Barra Female (GBF) Program is an initiative to empower women through Jiu-Jitsu by providing dedicated classes focused on self-defense, situational awareness, and essential grappling techniques. Our goal is to help women feel stronger, safer, and more prepared to handle real-life situations.
📍 FREE Women’s Self-Defense Class every Tuesday at 6 PM throughout March
📍 Learn essential self-defense techniques, including escapes and takedowns
📍 Master how to fall properly and recover safely
📍 Gain confidence in controlling and neutralizing an aggressor
📍 No experience needed—beginners welcome!
Each class is designed to be beginner-friendly, making it accessible for women of all ages and fitness levels. No previous martial arts experience is required, just a willingness to learn and have fun in a supportive and judgment-free environment.
👊 Why Every Woman Should Learn Self-Defense
Jiu-Jitsu is one of the most effective forms of self-defense for women, focusing on using technique, leverage, and strategy rather than brute strength. Our GBF program will teach you how to:
✅ Defend yourself against a larger, stronger opponent
✅ Break free from common attack scenarios like grabs and holds
✅ Use leverage and positioning to control or escape a confrontation
✅ Build physical strength, endurance, and flexibility
✅ Improve mental resilience, confidence, and awareness
Beyond learning valuable techniques, this program fosters a sense of sisterhood—you’ll be surrounded by other strong, motivated women who support and encourage one another.
💬 What to Expect in Each Class?
Each 60-minute session will be structured and beginner-friendly, covering:
🔹 Warm-Up & Mobility Drills – Get comfortable moving your body in a way that enhances balance and coordination.
🔹 Essential Self-Defense Techniques – Learn practical movements such as escapes, takedowns, and control positions.
🔹 How to Fall Safely – Avoid injury by mastering the proper way to fall and recover quickly.
🔹 Partner Drills & Real-Life Scenarios – Apply your skills in controlled training situations to build confidence in real-world applications.
🔹 Cool Down & Discussion – Reflect on key takeaways and reinforce techniques learned in class.
Each week, we will focus on progressively building your skills, ensuring that by the end of March, you feel more confident in your ability to defend yourself and move with purpose.
