Hello Gracie Barra Centennial Community!
Excitement is in the air as we gear up for the much-anticipated Gracie Barra tournament this Sunday, September 24th, 2023! This event promises to be a thrilling showcase of skill, determination, and sportsmanship. We have a fantastic turnout with 37 of our dedicated students ready to step onto the mats and challenge themselves in the spirit of Jiu-Jitsu.
We couldn’t be prouder of each and every one of our competitors. Whether kids or adults, they’ve all been putting in months of hard work, honing their techniques, and strengthening their mindsets. The journey to this tournament has been a testament to their commitment and perseverance.
As we approach this exciting day, let’s remember the wisdom of Grand Master Carlos Gracie Sr., who once said, “There is no losing in Jiu-Jitsu. You either win or you learn.” Every match, every roll, and every experience on the mats is an opportunity to grow, improve, and evolve. Win or lose, our students are all winners in the pursuit of knowledge and mastery in the art of Jiu-Jitsu.
Here are a couple of important details for the upcoming tournament:
1. Tournament Bracket and Official Schedule: The tournament bracket and official schedule will be published on Thursday, September 21st, 2023. Be sure to check out the website for this information.
2. Event Timing: The doors will open at 8:00 am on the day of the tournament, and the matches are set to start at 9:00 am. Make sure to arrive on time to cheer for your teammates and soak in the incredible atmosphere.
3. Venue: The tournament will be held at the Parker Fieldhouse, located at 18700 Plaza Dr, Parker, CO 80134. This venue provides an excellent backdrop for an unforgettable day of competition.
4. Spectator Fee: To support your fellow athletes and enjoy the competition, there’s a spectator fee of $8.00 (USD) when purchased online. If you opt to buy your ticket at the door, it will be $10.00 (USD). For families with athletes under 16 years old, one complimentary spectator ticket is included with athlete registration.
We encourage all members of our Gracie Barra Centennial community to come out and show their support. The energy and camaraderie of the crowd can make a world of difference for our competitors. Let’s create an atmosphere of positivity and unity that will inspire our students to perform their best.
