Advanced Training for Blue Belts and Above

Earning your Blue Belt is a major milestone in Jiu-Jitsu, but it also marks the beginning of a new stage of training.

At Gracie Barra Centennial, our GB3 Jiu-Jitsu program gives experienced students dedicated time to explore more advanced techniques, develop their individual game, and train with other upper belts in a challenging environment.

What Is GB3 Jiu-Jitsu?

GB3 is our advanced Jiu-Jitsu training program for Blue Belts and above.

As students progress through Jiu-Jitsu, training becomes less about simply learning individual techniques and more about understanding how those techniques connect. Students begin developing combinations, reactions, timing, strategy, and a style of Jiu-Jitsu that works for them.

GB3 provides an environment where our experienced students can work on those details while continuing to build on the fundamentals that got them to Blue Belt.

What to Expect in GB3

GB3 classes are designed to push your Jiu-Jitsu further. Training may include more detailed techniques, advanced positions and transitions, situational training, and challenging rounds with experienced teammates.

The goal isn’t simply to learn more moves. It’s to develop a deeper understanding of Jiu-Jitsu.

Students have an opportunity to:

  • Explore deeper technical details and combinations
  • Improve transitions between positions
  • Develop better timing and reactions
  • Get more challenging rolling rounds
  • Identify strengths and weaknesses in their game
  • Build their own style of Jiu-Jitsu
  • Continue progressing toward the next belt

Your Blue Belt Isn’t the Finish Line

One of the biggest changes after earning a Blue Belt is realizing how much more there is to learn.

The fundamentals remain important, but now you can begin connecting them in different ways. You start recognizing patterns during rolls, anticipating reactions, and understanding why a technique works instead of simply remembering the steps.

That development takes time on the mats.

GB3 gives our upper belts at Gracie Barra Centennial another opportunity each week to train together, experiment, problem-solve, and keep improving.
